LUKE READY FOR u21 BATTLE
NORTHAMPTON Foxes youngster Luke Harrison has the chance to go for Individual glory when he competes in the British Under-21 Final at Redcar on Sunday (5pm).
Harrison, who has already delivered plenty of exciting rides for the Foxes this season, finished third in the event last year when it was staged at Glasgow, before winning the Under-19 category later in the campaign.
He will be amongst the favourites at the ECCO Arena, where he made several appearances at Championship level before joining Scunthorpe, but the field overall looks highly competitive.
Home riders Jody Scott and Ace Pijper are expected to be in the mix, along with 16-year-olds Will Cairns and Cooper Rushen.
Harrison said: “I tend to go pretty well around Redcar. It’s a pretty big goal for me to win there. I just have to prove what I can do and hopefully come way with gold.
“Redcar is a fantastic track to race on. It’s not just all about the gate. You can miss the start and still end up passing people if you know the right lines.
“It’s going to be a good event with a lot of passing, so hopefully we can get some spectators in and put on a show.”
The British Under-21 Final will be available on live stream from BSN at https://www.britishspeedwaynetwork.co.uk/ .
