RACEDAY UPDATE: FOXES v IPSWICH
IT’S RACEDAY at Northampton International Shaleway as British Speedway’s newest club stages its first home meeting!
Northampton Foxes face Ipswich Witches in Knockout Cup action this evening, getting underway at 7.30pm, and there is huge interest in the event.
A monumental effort has taken place in recent weeks in order to make the necessary modifications to the superb stock car venue to enable it to also accommodate speedway bikes with no brakes!
Tonight, after a successful track inspection and test on Tuesday, all the efforts come to fruition as the Foxes take on the Witches over 15 heats of racing.
Advance ticket sales have been highly encouraging and these will remain available online from https://northampton-speedway.com/tickets-hospitality until 5pm.
Tickets will also be available at the stadium right up until start time, with card and cash options available on the night.
Car parking is free and plentiful, and there are several turnstiles, enabling supporters who have already purchased tickets to pass straight through.
Gates open to the public at 6pm and the bar and catering outlets will all be open from this time. With a large crowd expected for the opening night of speedway, we do urge supporters to aim to arrive early if they can.
Grandstand seating for tonight’s meeting has now sold out, but tickets for general admission are still available which provides ample viewing areas all around the stadium, including a disabled area.
We look forward to you joining us this evening on the next step of this incredible journey!
Tonight’s teams:
