NOW FOR THE ACES!

NORTHAMPTON Foxes co-promoter Tony Gaul says Monday’s 45-45 draw at King’s Lynn provided a clear indication of the team’s potential.

The Foxes forced a deserved share of the spoils in Norfolk with Niels-Kristian Iversen, skipper Nicolai Klindt and Jaimon Lidsey all reeling off a series of race wins.

Iversen superbly held on against Grand Prix star Max Fricke in Heat 15 to secure the draw, which sets things up for a huge home clash with Belle Vue on Thursday.

The table topping Aces visit the Shaleway with World No.2 Brady Kurtz and former World Champion Jason Doyle leading the charge in the highest-profile Premiership fixture to take place at the venue so far.

Gaul said: “It was a great effort at King’s Lynn with the full team being together for the first time this season.

“We really are starting to get going now, and ten heat wins last night of the 15 shows how close we are getting.

“When all seven click together, which will happen soon, more wins will come, but a draw at King’s Lynn is a vast improvement.

“Now we move on to Thursday where we entertain Belle Vue, so we will need to be on top form to get the win.

“There were many Foxes supporters at King’s Lynn, which was great to see, and we hope to see a big crowd on Thursday.”

With warm weather set to continue all week, everything is set for a big night at the Shaleway, with tickets available at https://northampton-speedway.com/ticket-office . Full team news to follow on Wednesday.
