SKY HIGH KYE IS RIDER OF THE YEAR

AUSTRALIAN racer Kye Thomson has been voted as Northampton Foxes’ Rider of the Year.

Thomson won the fans’ vote for the accolade, and it was no surprise after a terrific first full season of Premiership racing for the popular 27-year-old.

Starting the season at reserve, Thomson reeled off a succession of high scores including a remarkable 18+1 total against King’s Lynn in the KO Cup in the second meeting at the Shaleway.

He has since moved into the main body of the team having put well over two points on to his starting average, and he is likely to end the season above the six-point mark.

Thomson will receive his award at the Foxes’ end of season party on Saturday October 24, with venue details to be announced soon – and there’s a chance for one lucky supporter to make the presentation.

All you have to do is go onto the Northampton Speedway Facebook page and tell us in 20 words or fewer what you’ve loved most about the Foxes in 2026.

Put the answer in the comments, or send us a private message and we’ll select our favourite response with the winner getting the opportunity to present Kye with the award.

Meanwhile Thomson and the rest of the Foxes will be back at the Shaleway this Thursday (September 3) for the home clash with Ipswich.
