FOXES v KING’S LYNN, PREVIEW

NORTHAMPTON Foxes stage their final meeting of the season when they host King’s Lynn at the Shaleway on Tuesday (7.30pm).

The match is the last of the regular ROWE Motor Oil Premiership campaign as the curtain comes down on a highly successful year in which the Foxes have regularly played host to big crowds.

That included last weekend’s Tai Woffinden Testimonial which attracted a huge turnout from around the speedway world, and now the Foxes get their delayed opportunity to say farewell for 2026.

The meeting against the Stars was originally scheduled to take place on September 17 before having to be postponed due to track conditions after inclement weather hampered the build-up efforts.

However, there were no issues at the Woffinden meeting and with the conditions set fair once again, everything is in place for an entertaining finale.

The Foxes make one change to their line-up with Sam Masters coming in to guest for the injured Jaimon Lidsey, whilst the other six members of the home side are all able to ride including Niels-Kristian Iversen who would have missed the original meeting after a crash in Denmark.

King’s Lynn name a full-strength side including World No.7 Max Fricke, evergreen skipper Chris Harris, and Czech charger Jan Kvech who won the prestigious Golden Helmet meeting in his homeland at the weekend.

Foxes co-promoter Paul Hunsdon said: “Tuesday night isn’t our normal racenight so it’s a little different for us, but hopefully everyone will turn out in good numbers and we’re looking forward to saying our farewells for the season.

“It’s our final meeting and the weather forecast is on our side, and we’ll be thanking the fans by bringing all the riders out to meet and greet them afterwards as well as the management, myself, Tony (Gaul) and Chris (Adams).

“Then we can start to plan things for next season, and we do have plans to be a force in British Speedway.

“We’re not here to make up the numbers and we want to develop the club both and off the track. It’s been a good first season, and we hope it will be a great second season!”

Supporters who attended the original, postponed meeting last month should note the following information regarding admission and programmes:

All supporters who pre-purchased online on September 17 have received a credit to their ticketing account, or a refund, and will therefore need to buy tickets for Tuesday’s meeting either online or in person on the night.

All supporters with a physical ticket which was purchased on the night on September 17 should bring that ticket to the turnstiles on Tuesday where it will be exchanged for a ticket for the meeting.

If you purchased a programme on the night, you should bring it with you and on production you will be given a free insert which includes the latest ‘Speedway Review’ and the updated racecard for Tuesday.

If you don’t have a programme from September 17, you can purchase the ‘Speedway Review’ insert and racecard on the night for £2.

Tickets for the Northampton Speedway end-of-season party on October 24 will be available from Tracey at the turnstiles until 7.15pm.

Advance tickets for the meeting are available at https://northampton-speedway.com/ticket-office , and supporters should also note that the live stream will be provided by BSN and not by Foxes TV.
