EURO JOY FOR LUKE
NORTHAMPTON Foxes youngster Luke Harrison has qualified for the European Under-19 Final.
Harrrison, who has made great strides this season in the Rising Star berth for the Foxes, travelled to Hungarian venue Debrecen for Saturday’s semi-final.
His score of ten points put him comfortably into the Final as one of eight qualifiers on the day, as he recovered well from a third place in his opening ride.
Harrison’s second ride saw him take a win over eventual meeting winner Will Cairns, that being the only point dropped by the other British representative who won on the day with 14 points.
With nine points after four rides Harrison was in a strong position, and he confirmed his qualification place with a third in his last ride behind top-four riders Jacob Jensen and Janek Konzack.
To complete a good day for Great Britain, Cooper Rushen went through from the Plzen qualifier in the Czech Republic meaning Harrison, Cairns and Rushen will all race in the European Under-19 Final at Slovenian venue Krsko on September 5.
Harrison will be back to race for the Foxes in their next fixture when Ipswich visit Northampton International Shaleway on Monday June 29.
